The Bethel Park Community Foundation thoroughly considers all grant requests which benefit the Community in at least one of the four principle areas of enrichment Community Facilities Opportunities in Education for Citizens of All Ages Expanded Recreational and Leisure Time Activities Increased exposure to the Fine and Performing Arts Community Health and Safety Additionally, grants are not funded for the benefit of only one person or are of limited benefit to the community.   Grant Requests All grant applications are to be submitted to the Foundation for review and discussion by the trustees-at-large for vote of approval or disapproval. Since 1994, the Foundation has awarded well over $600,000 in grants, touching practically all corners of the Community. Here is a listing of some of the Community programs and projects funded in part or full by the BPCF: Community Center Clock Tower, Furnishings, Stage Lighting, Sound Improvements, Playground Equipment, Automatic Electronic Defibrillator, Multi-Purpose Room Partitions, Multipurpose Carpeting and Dance Floor

Small Grant Requests: Individuals and small groups may apply to the Foundation for small grants not to exceed $350. The Bethel Park School District and the Bethel Park Municipality are excluded from using this type of grant application. The Foundation will approve a limited number of small grant requests each year. Once the defined number of small grants has been approved by the trustees for a given year, no other small grant requests will be reviewed in that year. As with the traditional grant request, the Foundation will consider requests which benefit the community in at least one of the five principle areas of enrichment: community facilities, opportunity to extend educational and technological understanding, expand recreational and leisure time activities, increase exposure to the fine and performing arts, and community health and safety.
